Stratton is a historic market town. Facilities (all within 200 yds of the property) include, church, two pubs (which both serve a wide selection of food and drink), local store, post office, art gallery and bus stops.
Additional facilities including Morrisons supermarket, indoor swimming pool, ten-pin bowling and indoor play area are all situated just 1 mile from the cottage, between Stratton and Bude.
The seaside town of Bude is 2 miles/a 5 minute drive away. Bude is situated on the Atlantic Heritage Coast and is known for its popular sandy, surfing beaches and stunning coastal walks. It has a canal with a multi use trail, Castle museum, children's play parks, good selection of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. There are golf courses and surfing and horse riding schools in Bude and the surrounding area.
Within a 30 minute drive there are a good selection of beaches, dramatic cliff/coastal walks and many interesting towns including Boscastle, Tintagel, Hartland and Clovelly.
